Namdaemun After the Fire, Seoul 2008
Namdaemun (Great South Gate), Korea's National Treasure #1, was devoured in a fire on February 11th, 2008. The fire was started by an elderly man, Mr. Chae, who had previously attempted to burn down a palace over a land dispute with the government.
